18/ Corojo use two wrappers in each of its cigars to get a cocktail of flavors and taste. It also has three sub groups, namely 18 Double Connecticut, 18 Paired Maduro and Corojo 97. 18 Double Connecticut uses two Connecticut wrappers and the 18 Paired Maduro uses Broad leaf USA Maduro and Brazil while Corojo 97 uses Corojo Ecuador and Sumatra wrappers. On all other parameters these cigars are the same. Sun grown Cameroon has just two varieties. One produced with Habana Ecuador and Dominican (DSG) while the other has African Cameroon and Dominican (DSG). The colors between these two vary only slightly. Panter /Maher are all imported cigarillos and the flavored cigars are made in the Dominican Republic with flavors added. These 100% handmade cigars are available in only four flavors of vanilla, rum, cognac and honey.

The wrappers are of Connecticut shade. A Cusano cigar which was founded only in 1995 has come a long way to become a respected brand. Cusano cigars came into existence through accident. On a business trip Michael Chiusano had to go to the Dominican Republic to try the possibility to invest in the sugar industry as he owned a finance company. There he happened to smoke the cigar offered to him. The cigar was so good he brought 100 of them and tried his luck on selling them. Encouraged with success he went on to found the cigar company and now he is enjoying the success of it. Then it was all a success story. The orders started coming in and he went on to get down the stuff and supplied them. Afterwards he developed lot of varieties of cigars and sold and now he has quite a lot of varieties of cigars. Most of the Cusano cigars are handmade in the Dominican Republic. The tobacco is sourced from different parts of the world but the process is well controlled to get the consistent quality of these outstanding cigars.

Cusano Corojo 97 won the award of No.1 New comer in 2005. The award was made by Cigar Aficianado magazine. That boosted the image of the company further as the brand got a rating of 91 for the brand. Though the brand is only 15 years old it has matured for the age and there will be many more products coming in, in the near future.
